The team at Cvent has been hard at work improving the Sales & Catering CMS. These recent updates, in particular, are intended to simplify the customer management process while making them more flexible and dynamic.
Let’s take another look.
Filter your Bookings
You can quickly find the bookings you are looking for using new filters.
Multiple documents from the same Booking can be downloaded at once
Next time you want to download documents from a reservation, you can choose one or more options (Banquet checks, BEOs or Booking Summary or Contract) to have all the information you need in a matter of seconds.
You can also download documents from multiple bookings at once
You can do even more. You can save even more time by downloading your documents from multiple bookings at one time.
With BEOs, Comments go even further.
Do you ever wish that the comments you make while detailing functions could be transferred to the BEO so that you don’t need to refer to multiple documents to ensure consistent event setups? Wish no more! You can now see the feature in action by clicking below.
Automated Tasks Save Time
Sales and Events Managers know it better than anyone: some parts of the job are repetitive, especially when creating and managing bookings.
We resolved to change that. You can use the task automation tools to tell the system what it should be doing once you change a booking status. Do you want the sales manager to follow up with the client 7 days after the Booking is confirmed? Do you want to confirm Lost bookings with clients within 24 hours? This is also possible. Navigate to Settings and click Task Automation. You can then create task workflows that work for you and your team.
In Document Editor, Make Formatting Easier
You can insert a page break to make it easier for BEOs to view and understand.
Do you want to see the final result when you print your document? You can view your document in print preview mode.
Your BEOs can be deleted or switched out.
Now you can swap out or remove a BEO from an Event Function. Click the dropdown menu beside the BEO # in the booking view to create, remove, or Assign a BOE.
If the event function has not been assigned to a BEO, such as when the function was created recently, you can Assign a BEO.
A link to the Product Update Blog has been added to the Product.
It is now easier to keep track of new features and updates to the Sales & Catering CRM. The Help Icon now allows you to navigate to the Product Update blog and the Help Center after our recent update.
Track Booking Revenue by Market Segment Report
We’ve made it possible to create custom reports to track revenue by market segment in our continuous effort to assist our users.
New Updates to Room Blocks: Pickup Rate and Quantity
Before Booking Actualization, you can now track a room block’s pickup rate and quantity.
A new row will appear in the Guest Rooms section when a booking is moved to Definite. This indicates the number of rooms booked for a particular night.
The Edit Guest Room Block view allows you to update the pickup while in the Definite state manually. You can modify the rate and quantity of pickups.
The pickup rate and quantity of the Booking will no longer be editable after being updated to Actualized. It will then move to read-only status.
Book with Lead Source
You could only track leads source within leads before now. You can now add a lead source for a booking with the latest release. This will allow your team to see where the most profitable business is coming from.
You can also view the source of the lead when you view the Booking. You can edit the Booking from the Edit Page.
Make custom items
There are always new dishes. Many venues and hotels sell seasonal or custom meals that aren’t part of the standard menu. When detailing functions, you can create custom items and decide if the item should be included in their standard inventory.
Taxable Service Charge Tool
You can now add the automatically-calculated tax to a service charge or fee with this release. You can indicate if the fee will be taxable when creating a new fee in Taxes and Fees in Settings.
You will see the Taxes and Fees separated when you apply taxes and fees to items in Settings. You can apply multiple fees to an item.
Edit Banquet Check Titles
You will be familiar with the differences between venues if you have worked in them. When the booking setting is Actual or Definite, different teams might use different terminology or regional spellings for the banquet checks. The title of both versions of the checks may be edited in settings. This will display on the headers of the documents.
