    Whether you would like a sit down banquet or a cocktail wedding, we can help you design your ideal wedding reception. Ultimately, the capacity depends on the style of wedding reception you seek.

    For a cocktail wedding reception:

    • Our Viewing Room offers space for 200 guests
    • Our Riverview Room accommodates 400 guests
    • With exclusive venue use, we can cater for up to 800 guests

    For a sit down wedding reception:

    • Our Viewing Room can seat up to 70 guests
    • Our Riverview Room can cater for up to 270 guests
    • Exclusive venue use allows us to seat up to 400 guests
  • Can I bring my own catering?

    You can only bring your wedding cake. We provide full catering through our fully-equipped, professional on-site kitchen. Our high-quality catering ensures you and your guests will enjoy gourmet cuisine crafted by expert chefs.

  • What do you provide in terms of catering and beverage package options?

    For a seated wedding reception, we offer a range of dining packages, including Riverside, Portside, Prestige and Banquet dining — all designed using fresh, seasonal ingredients by our talented chefs.

    For a cocktail wedding reception, we provide Portside Cocktail and Prestige Cocktail package options. These may include platters, tapas, canapés, cocktail dishes, and your wedding cake served as finger slices.

    We have a variety of premium customisable beverage packages available, including wine, beer, cider, and bottled spirits. Your beverage package duration can be extended at $10.00 per person, per hour after your initial 5 hour period.

  • Do you cater for those with special dietary requirements?

    Yes, we cater for your guests with special dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free.

  • Do you offer menu tastings?

    Yes, we offer menu tastings to help you decide which food you would like to serve at your wedding reception. If you would like to sample from our extraordinary gourmet menu, please request your event coordinator to set up a menu tasting.

  • Are there any styling packages to choose from? Are there any décor or styling restrictions?

    Yes, we offer a variety of styling choices available for centrepieces, chairs, linen and lighting for the wedding reception.

    If you would like to add unique furniture, centrepieces, linens or backdrop designs, please speak to your event coordinator about setting up a meeting to talk through your options. We can arrange whatever you require through our in-house stylist. Our venue is a versatile space that can be tailored for all themes.

     

  • Are we able to bring our own decorations, band or DJ?

    Yes, we can provide a list of our preferred suppliers or you can organise your own styling and entertainment.

  • What are my options for entertainment?

    Optional services we offer through our preferred suppliers include:

    • Your very own photo booth for your guests, complete with creative props
    • Fireworks
    • Staging
    • DJ services
    • A professional photographer to capture fun and special moments at your reception with your guests
  • What is your payment and cancellation policy?

    Progressive payment of 50% of the estimated expenditure will be issued prior to your event. Final numbers must be provided a minimum of 10 business days prior to your event. Your final invoice will be issued at this time and must be paid a minimum of 3 business days prior to your event.

  • Do you have wheelchair access?

    Our venue has wheelchair access via a lift. Disabled bathrooms are also available.

  • Can we smoke on the balcony?

    Since we are a non-smoking venue, you can only smoke outside on the ground floor.

  • Is parking available at the wedding venue?

    Yes, we offer ample parking with 350 undercover car parks and street parking nearby. All Moda guests receive 4 hours complimentary with reduced rates afterward.

  • Do you provide accommodation?

    Moda Events is a partnered with Alcyone Hotel Residences. Simply inform guests to let Alcyone Hotel know they are attending a wedding at Moda Events Portside to receive a discount rate.
